State, Federal, and Local Assessments at Montrose County School District
The state of Colorado requires school districts to post information about assessments, including estimated hours of each assessment.

MCSD utilizes Amplify Inc's mCLASS with DIBELS 8th Ed testing to comply with the Colorado READ Act.
Some schools in MCSD have been selected for NAEP Field Testing in Spring of 2025.
The students - chosen at random from 4th and 8th grade classes - will complete the approximately 120 minute assessment.
This is federally mandated and tied to Title I funding.
