This article talks about how there is a conflict between two important goals of international environmental law. There is a conflict between the two goals because there is difficulty using international environmental law to provide accountability for the devastation of slash-and-burn of the rainforest. This article shows that international environmental law needs to make sure that the people burning the rainforest are held accountable.
