Varsity Football

Welcome to the Manchester Varsity Football Team Page!

Head Coach: Ben Pack

To the Community of Manchester,

It is an honor to be the head coach of the Manchester football program.

Our tradition speaks for itself. I am looking forward to building on all the hard work of those before me.

I have worked in education for many years as a teacher, coach, school administrator, and district administrator.

In January of 2018, I retired with the full intent of working daily with students and coaching high school football.

As a head football coach, I took over two programs that were struggling and guided each to multiple levels of success. Many players earned All-State, All-Conference, and All-Area honors while more than sixty athletes were able to use football as a means to advance their education. My teams earned a few championships,  had multiple playoff appearances, and were recognized among the elite teams in Michigan. Additionally, I served as an assistant coach at Albion College where our teams were nationally ranked, winning the 2005 MIAA championship, and qualifying for the NCAA Division III playoffs

My wife, Nancy, and I have three adult children, Aisleen, Ben, and Gus.  Nancy retired as a school teacher, and  a U of M Graduate.  All three of our children followed my footsteps graduating from CMU.

I am fortunate to have experienced many successes throughout my career.   However, my most important personal accomplishment was establishing hundreds of lifetime friendships with my players and fellow coaches. I look forward to continuing that tradition.

Sincerely,

Ben Pack
