Welcome to the Manchester JV Football Team Page!

JV Football Head Coach, Michael Coltre

I am a Manchester graduate; Class of 2006. I was inducted into the Manchester Athletic Wall of Fame. and received the title of All-State Athlete in track, and All-Area in football and basketball during my time at Manchester. Additionally, I was apart of the first track conference and regional titles under Coach Mike Forner, and ran hurdles and long jumped at Siena Heights University. I have coached youth travel basketball over the years, and have been involved with the Football program for the last 10 years. I had the opportunity to become the assistant Track Coach here from 2007-2010. Last year was my first year of becoming a full-time assistant coach for both football and basketball. This will be my 2nd Year coaching at Manchester: (JV Head Coach/Varsity Assistant) football and (Varsity Assistant) basketball. I am looking forward to another fun year of Manchester Athletics!

My favorite memories of Manchester:

  • Younger years:

    • Going to Friday night football games to watch my older cousins.

    • Or to be in the packed old gym on a Tuesday or Friday night enjoying the great loud Dutchmen atmosphere.

  • From my playing days:

    • Breaking the school record in the long jump and finishing second in the state, and then the following year placing runner up in the 110m hurdles.

    • Also being apart of two other school records in route to a top five team finish at the state track meet.

    • Throwing a go ahead TD pass against Grass Lake to a leaping Devin Render, and winning the conference as a senior in football in 2005.

    • Sealing a district title win over Addison by throwing a 4th down TD pass to Ian Callaway, which led to us advancing to the third round of the playoffs for the first time since the Dome team in 1993.

  • Adult years:

    • Seeing my middle sister, Laura, break the school long jump record and end up placing 3rd in the state.

    • Watching my youngest sister, Jessica play a key role in basketball in helping win Manchester's first State title in 2013, and witnessing the whole town at the Breslin Center to see it happen.
