Whetstone uses the Second Step Social Emotional Curriculum. It is a research-based curriculum that teaches skills for everyday success. Students learn techniques to:

• Set Goals

• Make better decisions

• Collaborate with others

• Navigate the world

Regular classroom guidance lessons supports the Positive Behavior Intervention and Supports Philosophy.  Classroom guidance is a Tier 1 intervention that teaches all students the skills they need to succeed both academically and socially.
