About Us

From the repertoire to concerts to sending county leading number of students to All-State choruses Westland singers perform music over the past five centuries featuring folk songs, spirituals, world music and contemporary selections. Students engage in team building exercises, develop sight-reading skills, vocal technique and learn about music history from antiquity to modern times. Advanced musicians and singers are given solo and accompaniment opportunities.

The winter and spring concerts are held at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School where students matriculate and are then given opportunities participate in the BCC choral program led by Ms. Liza Itkins.

Students also perform at county and state adjudications, as well as interstate competitions such as Hershey Park, Kings Dominion or Bush Garden’s Music Festivals. Various performances at more local venues take place throughout the school year.
