The International Baccalaureate (IB) Career Program is designed to prepare students for higher education, an internship, or a position in a designated field of interest. The IB Career Program combines the rigor of academically challenging courses with the practical, real-world curriculum in a student's career pathway, such as Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement and Leadership. The IB Career Program allows more flexibility than the full IB Diploma Program, while also connecting the IB research and writing skills with the content and the CTE pathway.
To enroll in the IB Career Program, a student must be:
1) A rising 11th Grade student,
2) Enrolled in a career pathway program (such as Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement), and
3) Enrolled in at least 1 two-year IB course (could be English, History, Math, Science, etc.)
To complete the IB Career Program and receive a certificate upon graduation, a student must:
1) Take a minimum of 2 IB courses, including 1 two-year IB course,
2) Enroll in IB PPS (Personal and Professional Skills) course during 11th and 12th grades, and
3) Complete a career pathway program (such as Criminal Justice).
