Welcome to the International Baccalaureate Programmes at Springbrook HS!
A whole school vision since 1998 (DP) and 2009 (MYP).
Springbrook is proud to offer a continuum of IB Programmes from 9th through 12th grade. In 9th and 10th grade, all SHS students experience an IB education through the Middle Years Programme (MYP), which is infused into all of their core courses. In 11th and 12th grade, students can choose to take individual IB Diploma courses, or can participate in the full IB Diploma Program (IB DP).

Center Program
An accelerated and enriched experience
Students in the Eastern Regioncan apply to attend Springbrook as part of the center cohort
Students:
Take rigorous advanced-level classes.
Learn Approaches to Learning Skills
Learn how their classes apply to the larger Global Contexts
Participate in Interdisciplinary Learning Opportunities
Complete a Personal Project.
Are expected to join the IB Diploma Programme cohort in 11th Grade

A whole school programme

Students:

Optional, but highly encouraged, participation
In 11th grade, students can choose to join the full IB Diploma Programme.
Students:
Take 6 IB courses (one per subject area).
Complete an Extended Essay.
Complete a Creativity, Action, & Service Portfolio.
Take the Theory of Knowledge Course.
