Contract

I, __________________, agree to follow the following stipulations in relation to being a cast and/or crew member of 2026 Fall production of Matilda at Sherwood High School.  I understand that any violation of this contract can result in my dismissal and replacement. It is acknowledged that participation in after-school activities is a privilege, not a right.

• No cast or crew member may miss more than 2 rehearsals unexcused. 

• All MCPS rules of conduct, as stated in the Student Handbook, will be followed at all times.

• At no time will the student fall behind in their daily class work, or become a disciplinary problem for their teacher.

• Students must remain off the ineligibility list.

• If after three weeks the actor/crew member does not make satisfactory growth within their respective responsibilities, Dr. Lazarus reserves the right to cut you from the show and replace your part with another actor/crew member.  After three weeks anyone in the cast or crew can be removed from the production do to behavior, grades, or lack of effort at the discretion of the Production Team

• While under the supervision of Dr. Lazarus, Mrs. Lynch, or any other member of the Production Team, no student may leave Sherwood High School property without permission or accept food deliveries. 

• Students may not give acting advice to other students unless it is asked for.

• Students must be on time and ready to work at every rehearsal with a positive attitude and with proper materials.

• At no time will students let their egos become an issue within the cast. This will result in immediate dismissal from that day’s rehearsal, and they will not return to rehearsal until meeting with Dr. Lazarus and an apology to the cast and crew.

Following these rules of conduct, we will work as a TEAM to create a successful production!
