Orchestra 1:
Instruments include:
Violin
Viola,
Cello
Double Bass
Perform beginning and intermediate level music in a string orchestra setting
Rehearse in class daily
Focus on fundamental instrument technique and music reading
Concerts will take place throughout the school year
Students with no/little instrumental experience welcome!
Students will have the opportunity to try and switch string orchestra instruments (if interested) during the first week of school
Orchestra 2/3:
Instruments include:
Violin
Viola
Cello
Double Bass
Perform intermediate and advanced level music in a string orchestra setting
Rehearse in class daily
Focus on advanced instrument technique and sight-reading
Concerts will take place throughout the school year
Students are expected to have prior experience performing on their instruments and reading music
Students may be asked to switch instruments to balance the ensemble

Violin and Viola: Rosin, shoulder rest, cleaning cloth (not chemically treated), one spare set of strings (Dominant brand)
Cello: Rosin, rock stop (Xeros brand- attach to chair), one spare set of strings (Dominant brand)
Bass: Bass rosin, rock stop
