Why are fundraisers a vital part of a successful music program?

Fundraisers are a vital part of any successful music program. Music programs require many expensive materials that must be maintained, replaced, and purchased throughout each school year. These materials include: sheet music, folders, instruments, instrument repairs, sticks, mallets, reeds, rosin, strings, sight-reading and method books, and so much more! We also use the money raised through our fundraisers to support field trips and decrease the costs of competitions!

The following information was from the 2019-2020 School Year. However, these fundraisers occur annually (with the exception of the 2020-2021 school year), so please take a look as you may be interested in participating next year!

Claire's Gourmet Fundraiser

Start Date: Friday, September 13, 2019

End Date: Tuesday, October 1, 2019

Delivery Date: Thursday, October 17, 2019

Details:

• • Students will see a presentation about Claire's Gourmet and safe fundraising techniques on Thursday, Sept. 12th in class

  • Students will receive fundraiser packet: brochures, online ordering, prize breakdown, etc.

  • Fundraiser will begin on Thursday, Sept. 12th and end on Tuesday, Oct. 1st

  • All money and forms, and all online orders, must be turned in to Mrs. Mullarkey by the end of the school day on Thursday, Oct. 1st

  • Orders will be picked up on Thursday, Oct. 17th after school from 3:00pm - 6:00pm

  • Many items are frozen and therefore cannot be stored at SCMS

Concert Bake Sales

We are so lucky to have such a supportive PTSA here at SCMS!

Please be on the lookout for sign ups to help out at our Concert Bake Sales that will take place each night of our Winter and Spring Concert Series.
