Dear Parents and Guardians:
Happy Anniversary! This is Rosa Park Middle School's 30th anniversary! The new school year is underway and we are excited to collaborate with you as we support your child. It is our goal at Rosa Parks Middle School to ensure that your child is successful. This handbook provides you with key dates and school policies.
Each day we strive for Rosa Parks Middle School to be a welcoming, intellectually stimulating environment in which all students will demonstrate significant growth in their abilities to think critically, act responsibly, and contribute positively within diverse settings while valuing multiple perspectives.
By actively participating in your child’s education and by partnering with the school, you will help us reach our goal for students.
At Rosa Parks Middle School, we practice the four core values of honesty, respect, responsibility, and perspective. We know that consistently reinforcing these ideals will enable students to maximize their potential as learners and make a valuable contribution to their school and community.
We want our students to leave Rosa Parks prepared to access a wide array of opportunities. We are excited about not only increasing students’ academic success, but also increasing their ability to solve problems and enhancing their social emotional awareness and skills. We will help students see the connections between the choices they make in middle school and the chances they will have to attain their college and career goals. Equity and Choice Create High Opportunity for all students (ECCHO)!
Our staff looks forward to working with you and your child during the 2022-2023 school year.
Sincerely,
Jewel Sanders
