Sara Watts Resource Counselor
Counseling Program
Rosa Parks Middle School Professional School Counselors are leaders who are committed to the academic success and personal growth of all students with a focus on college and career readiness. Through a collaborative team approach, we serve as advocates for our students. We provide students with equitable access to opportunities and supports for academic, social, and emotional development through classroom lessons, counseling groups, individual counseling, and school-wide programs. Topics covered include, but are not limited to: social emotional learning, social skills, personal body safety, suicide prevention, bullying prevention, cyber civility, self-advocacy, responsible decision making, conflict resolution, college and career exploration, and anti-bias anti-racist education. Our comprehensive counseling program helps to empower and motivate our students to embrace their full potential while contributing positively to a welcoming school community that values diverse perspectives and mutual respect.
