I would recommend that incoming MC2 students take this opportunity to explore some of the incredible subjects available for study at the college level from professors who are deeply passionate about their work. I took some of my all-time favorite college courses as part of the MC2 program, and none of them were directly related to the subject I eventually studied at the master's level. Nonetheless, each of the professors I learned from in those courses enriched my understanding of the world and brought me closer to discovering what I wanted to do next.
I would also implore incoming MC2 students to take this opportunity seriously. College is expensive both financially and in terms of the time you invest in yourself. Every MC2 course you transfer can shave thousands of dollars and hundreds of hours off your total bill. It may seem abstract now, but those courses add up and can make a huge difference. Even if you decide to stay for all four years of a traditional undergrad, having completed your general education requirements at MC will allow you to study the subjects you're actually interested in and take on a course load each semester that you're comfortable with. On the other hand, if you don't want to attend a four-year school at all, MC courses will prepare you to finish your associate's and enter the workforce faster, so you can begin saving money and progressing through your career.Â
