The Minority Scholars Program was established over 15 years ago within MCPS to support, educate, and empower youth to lead initiatives for more equitable education for Black, Brown, and Indigenous students. At Northwood, we do this by exploring issues of racism and oppression. We focus on academic achievement, student voice, leadership development, cultural capital, and community engagement.
