Digital Art 1 - ART2069 A/B

This course explores art through the theme: Narrative as students learn to create art using digital hardware and the Adobe Creative suite. Students will use the programs: Photoshop, Illustrator, and Animate to create both raster and vector style art. 

Advanced Digital Art 2 - ART2070 A/B

*Prerequisite - Digital Art 1

This advanced level course provides opportunities to refine and master digital hardware and software learned in Digital Art 1. Students will explore creating art through the theme: Perspective. Students will make original artwork while learning more advanced tools and techniques and exploring Wacom tablets. Students will also explore product design, creating a design for a custom product. 

Advanced Digital Art 3 - ART2059 A/B

*Prerequisite - Digital Art 2

This advanced level course provides opportunities to refine and master digital hardware and software learned in Digital Art 2. Students will explore creating art through the theme: Inquiry as students explore a variety of Digital Art careers. Students will continuing making raster and vector art while work to identify and refine their unique style of art. Students will multiple opportunities to explore product design, creating designs for custom products. 

Advanced Digital Art 4 - ART2060 A/B

*Prerequisite - Digital Art 3

This advanced level course provides opportunities to refine and master digital hardware and software learned in Digital Art 3. Students will explore creating art through the theme: Voice as they continue to making original artwork and custom designs. Students can work towards creating a portfolio for college or career, as they explore and propose freelance projects that are personal to them. 

Advanced Animation - ART2061 A/B

*Prerequisite - Digital Art 1, Studio Art 1, or Portfolio Submission

Students will use digital hardware and software to create a variety of animations including, frame by frame, stop motion, rotoscoping, and motion graphics. Students will explore creating art through the theme: Perspective as they apply a variety of techniques to create motion. Animation is extremely tedious, students should be prepared to attend class everyday and work from bell to bell. 

AP 2-D Art and Design - ART2064 A/B

Students will synthesize and adapt approaches to using two-dimensional media, techniques, and processes to develop a personal style and voice. They will present a personal exhibition and justify curatorial choices that communicate meaning. Students submit a portfolio of original work to meet the requirements for the AP Exam to demonstrate the competencies as identified by the College Board.
