2026-2027 BOT Scholarship Application Now Open
This is an excellent opportunity for students attending Montgomery College! It may pay full tuition at MC, which can be renewable for a second year. Students must be admitted to Montgomery College before they can access the online scholarship application. Once a student has been admitted to MC and sets up their student account, they will be able to complete the scholarship application using their MC login credentials. Please note that students can complete the online scholarship application, submit the required essays, and transcript with this online application; however, the letter of recommendation must be emailed directly to botscholarships@montgomerycollege.edu.
Transcripts must include the applicant’s first-semester grades. Students can choose to complete the application now and send a transcript with their first-semester grades as soon as it becomes available (an unofficial transcript is fine). Transcripts not sent with the initial scholarship application should be sent to botscholarships@montgomerycollege.edu.

Kappa Youth and Community Foundation Scholarship
The Kappa Youth & Community Foundation funds scholarships awarded to African American male students of color living in Montgomery County who plan to attend a college or university. Gaithersburg-Rockville area male high school seniors can apply.

Damascus YW Women Community Service Scholarship
Damascus YW Women is now accepting applications for their Community Service Scholarship. Damascus YW Women is a local women’s civic organization and a local chapter of the YWCA-National Capital Area. Three $1000 scholarships will be awarded this year. Female, senior students at Damascus High School meeting the requirements listed below are eligible to apply. To be eligible for consideration, an applicant must meet all the following requirements: 1. Be a citizen of the United States. 2. Be a graduating female senior at Damascus High School. 3. Must have completed and documented at least 100 Student Service Learning (SSL) hours. 4. Have a cumulative weighted GPA (WPGA) of 3.0 or better. 5. Must be seeking enrollment at an accredited Vocational/Technical School, College or University.

National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Scholarship Awards Program
The Montgomery County branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) will award $1,000 scholarships to graduating high school students residing in Montgomery County. These scholarships will be presented at the Annual Freedom Fund Dinner on

Scholarships Offered by DCNNOA in 2026
Each year DCNNOA awards over 30 scholarships starting at $1,000.00 to minority youth from the Washington, DC Metropolitan area based on academic achievement, positive community involvement, commitment, and financial need. Scholarship recipients select their major and attend the college or university of their choice without any obligation to join or affiliate with the military. An applicant needs to submit only one application package, and he or she will be considered for any of our scholarships for which they meet the requirements.

Pearls of Hope Community Foundation, Inc. - 2026 Scholarship Program
The Pearls of Hope Community Foundation, Incorporated (POHCF), is pleased to announce the 2026 Scholarship Program! This exciting scholarship program offers scholarships ranging from $1,000 - $8,000 over four years.
To be eligible for these scholarships, students must be a high school senior and reside (have a home address) in Montgomery County and/or attend a Montgomery County Public School. Students who are residents of Montgomery County, may attend private school in Washington DC or another Maryland county. Montgomery County Public School students who reside outside of the county are eligible.

The Patrick Shifflett Foundation Scholarship
The Patrick Shifflett Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been established to award academic scholarships to qualifying graduating seniors at Clarksburg and Damascus High School in Montgomery County Maryland, in loving memory of Patrick Shifflett. The award amount for 2026 will be $5,000.
