Local Damascus Scholarships:
Damascus YW Women Scholarship
Local scholarship for a female senior at DHS. Student must have a 3.0 or higher cumulative weighted GPA and have at least 100 SSL hours. Application deadline has been extended to Tuesday, April 30th.
Damascus High School Athletic Booster Club Scholarship
Each year, the DHS Athletic Booster Club Athletic Scholarship recognizes four (4) graduating seniors who will be attending higher education (e.g., college/university, junior college, trade school, etc) after high school. The students must show that they have demonstrated a balance of academics, student life, and athletic performance.
Deadline for submissions is APRIL 19, 2024
Scholarship Qualifications:
Damascus High School graduating Senior
Participated in Damascus High School Athletics each year they attended DHS (player, cheerleader, pom, team manager)
Maintained a GPA of 3.0 or better each year they attended DHS
Applicant must be accepted to an accredited post-high school education program for the succeeding school year
Full scholarship athletes are not eligible to participate
Applicant’s immediate family must be a current member of the DHS Athletic Booster Club by March 25, 2024. (https://www.dhsathleticboosterclub.com/membership)
Laytonsville Lions Club Scholarship
Scholarships available for students who have demonstrated service to the community and a cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher. Due April 30th. Application found here.
Rural Women's Republican Club Scholarship
$3,500 scholarship for eligible student from Poolesville, Damascus, Clarksburg, Quince Orchard, Seneca Valley, and Northwest. Application Deadline is Friday, May 31st.
