Math

At Argyle Magnet Middle School we offer seven mathematics courses:

6th Graders -  Accelerated Math 6 Plus (ACC6), or Pre-Algebra 6 

7th Graders - Accelerated Math 7 Plus (ACC7), or Algebra 1A/B

8th Graders - Math 8, Algebra 1 A/B, or Honors Geometry

In addition to their mathematics courses, some students also take a mathematics support course: 

6th Graders - Related Math 6 

7th Graders - Related Math 7

When students enter 6th grade they are placed in Advanced Math 6 Plus (ACC7) or Pre Algebra 6if they were in 5/6 Compacted Math in elementary school. Algebra 1 A/B and Geometry are both high school level courses. Students must pass each course with a 60% or better to receive credit.
