Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services (MCDHHS)
MCDHHS services protect the community’s health, protect the health and safety of at-risk children and vulnerable adults and address basic human needs including food, shelter and clothing.
The department provides services through several service areas: Aging and Disability Services; Behavioral Health and Crisis Services; Children, Youth and Family Services; Public Health Services and Services to End and Prevent Homelessness.
Montgomery Cares (Medical Care for Uninsured Adults)
The Montgomery Cares Program is a group of community-based health care providers that provide medical care to uninsured adults in Montgomery County. Eligibility for the program is determined at one of the participating clinics where staff can assist with eligibility determination.
Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP)
The Maryland Children's Health Program (MCHP) provides free coverage to eligible uninsured children whose family earns too much money to get Medicaid, but not enough to afford private health insurance. Your child may be eligible for Medicaid or MCHP even if you are not.
