The B-CC High School Internship Program empowers students to bridge the gap between the classroom and the professional world. Our mission is to inspire future leaders, promote career readiness, and support lifelong success through meaningful, structured, and supported work-based learning experiences.
Open to rising seniors, this program offers students the opportunity to explore real-world careers while earning academic credit. Interns participate in supervised, off-campus placements, gaining practical experience and insight into professional environments.
Through the internship experience, students will:
Sharpen workplace and communication skills
Apply academic concepts in real-world settings
Understand how businesses and organizations operate
Work toward mastery of instructional objectives in authentic contexts
Explore potential career paths and clarify postsecondary goals

Duration: Internships begin in late September and continue through the end of the school year
Enrollment Options: Students can register for one, two, or three periods based on availability and input from their counselor
Credits: Successful completion of each semester earns 0.5 elective credit
Informational Meeting: A mandatory spring lunch meeting will be announced via school communications for all interested and enrolled students
Finding an Internship: Students should begin outreach in the spring and summer—family and community connections are encouraged
Begins with five weeks of daily in-school instruction; continues weekly throughout the year
Spring and summer workshops to help students prepare and secure internships
B-CC teacher who mentors and supervises student interns
The internship sponsor or site supervisor who hosts and mentors the student intern.
Student enrolled in and participating in the program.
Provide authentic work experiences tied to academic and career interests
Foster growth through mentorship and structured reflection
Bridge academic learning with workplace application
Develop essential 21st-century skills for future careers
Build strong partnerships between B-CC and the community
