What is a Career?

A career is the work you do throughout your life, including the jobs, experiences, skills, and opportunities you pursue along the way.

A career can include working as a doctor, lawyer, teacher, carpenter, electrician, cashier, hairstylist, or any other occupation. However, your career is more than just one job or job title. It includes the different jobs you have held, skills you have developed, accomplishments you have achieved, and the steps you have taken to grow professionally.

Your career may take many different paths and can change as your interests, goals, skills, and experiences change. There is no single "right" career path!

What is Career Exploration?

Career exploration is the process of learning about, researching, and evaluating different career options to help you discover careers that may be a good fit for your interests, strengths, skills, and goals.
