Innovative Minds II Course Video
This course is an extension of Innovative Minds I. Students use the Argyle Design Process to investigate, plan, design, create and evaluate original solutions to real-world problems through the use of emerging technologies. Students are encouraged to display ingenuity and creativity in finding solutions to a variety of engineering tasks and challenges. Students practice innovative problem solving with a variety of tools and applications. Introduction to Digital Media Course Video
Students learn the skills and knowledge needed to understand how to create and operate in the digital media industry, and its impact on our society. Students learn how to pitch, write, develop, and produce content for various digital and social media platforms. Students gain insight through a variety of projects ranging from; oral presentations to interactive presentations, audio and video podcasting, audio recording and editing, and video production basics. Web Tools Course Video
This course focuses on introducing students to the world of digital and social media. Investigating the evolution of websites and social media apps to understanding how to communicate effectively and responsibly through digital media technology. Programming Fundamentals Course Video
Students will have the opportunity to learning the fundamental aspects of coding, learning syntax, commands, and logic by using coding software. In this class students will not only develop basic programming skills but also incorporate their learning towards the development of games. Students will also examine how coding works with robots, being able to program actions and routines to complete various functions and operations. This is a great course for students who want to learn how to code and also with basic programming experience. Computer Science

Students will learn about computers and other digital systems and devices, how information travels across the Internet and networks and how to protect electronic information. Intermediate middle school art class will allow students to build on their prior learning from Studio Art I and design art using various mediums. The developed skills will be used to provide opportunities of self expression. Students begin to learn to communicate orally and in writing in a culturally appropriate manner about topics related to daily life. They interpret basic information when listening and reading. Vocabulary and basic grammatical structures are taught within the context of these familiar topics. Culture is embedded throughout the course.
These are high school credit courses. Students with language acquisition skills in Spanish will be assessed to find their best Spanish Placement Course. Students learn to communicate orally and in writing in a culturally appropriate manner about topics related to daily life. They interpret basic information when listening and reading. Vocabulary and basic grammatical structures are taught in-context.

Spanish Literacy provides language instruction for students with some proficiency in Spanish, either because it is their first language or it is spoken in their home. Like the other Spanish-speaker courses, the class integrates history, culture, language, and connections related to the Spanish-speaking world in Spanish. This course is designed for students who have limited native Spanish language literacy, meaning they may be fluent speakers of Spanish, but may or may not read and write in Spanish.
This is a High School Credit course.
Pre-requisite: *Students must complete a language assessment for placement in this course.
Spanish for Spanish Speakers courses provide language instruction for students with some proficiency in Spanish, either because it is their first language or it is spoken in their home. Each course integrates history, culture, language, and connections related to the Spanish-speaking world. *Students must complete a language assessment for placement in this course.
This is a High School Credit course.
Pre-requisite: Spanish for Spanish Speakers I or complete a language assessment for placement in this course.
Spanish for Spanish Speakers II will provide language instruction for students with intermediate proficiency in the Spanish language, having learned it as their first language or regularly spoken in their home. Level II course integrates more history, culture, language, and connections related to the Spanish-speaking world.
This course is for students who have not taken a band course in middle school (elementary experience only or no prior experience is acceptable). Basic instrumental skills are developed by performing a variety of music. Students are taught the elements of musical form, terms and symbols, tone production, instrument care and maintenance, and the importance of consistent practice habits. Emphasis is placed on developing formal rehearsal decorum, following a conductor, and developing pitch and rhythmic security in preparation for performing an independent part in the traditional band ensemble. Students also learn melodic form and construction as they examine and perform more complex folk melodies and melodies from master composers. Instrument options include: Flute, Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto, Tenor, and Bari Saxophones, Trumpet, Trombone, Baritone, Tuba, and Percussion *Music Pathway
This course is for students with prior middle school band experience. Intermediate instrumental skills are developed by performing a variety of music. Students are taught the elements of musical form, terms and symbols, tone production, instrument care and maintenance, and the importance of consistent practice habits. Emphasis is placed on developing formal rehearsal decorum, following a conductor, and developing pitch and rhythmic security in preparation for performing an independent part in the traditional band ensemble. Previous enrollment in a middle school band class is required. *Music Pathway
This course is for students who have not taken an orchestra course in middle school (elementary experience only or no prior experience is acceptable). Basic instrumental skills are developed by performing a variety of music. Students are taught the elements of musical form, terms and symbols, tone production, instrument care and maintenance, and the importance of consistent practice habits. Emphasis is placed on developing formal rehearsal decorum, following a conductor, and developing pitch and rhythmic security in preparation for performing an independent part in the traditional orchestra ensemble. Students also learn melodic form and construction as they examine and perform more complex folk melodies and melodies from master composers. Instrument options include: violin, viola, cello, and string bass. *Music Pathway

7th Grade Band and Orchestra Course Video
The Theatre class is specifically designed to teach students about theatre arts and how they can support, reinforce, and enrich your life. Confident public speaking, creativity, and ensemble work are skills that will help you become aware of yourself and how you are perceived by others.
