Values, Vision, Mission
Foundation Values
Generosity - We generously share our time, knowledge, skills, and connections alongside our financial resources, and we embrace our roles as collaborators as well as supporters.
Community - We believe in the importance of giving back to the community in which the financial resources of the Putnam Foundation were originally generated, and we also believe we have a role to play as global citizens. We strive to build meaningful relationships with our communities and the organizations we support, founded in learning, trust, and respect.
Stewardship - We are thoughtful in our stewardship of resources, with respect for our natural ecosystem, our role in serving the public interest, and for the generations who came before us and those who will come after us.
Creativity and Learning - We recognize that there is always more to learn, especially from those who are closest to issues, and we see continuous learning as a catalyst for creativity and change.
Foundation Vision
We envision a world where people and communities are able to fully engage their creativity and ingenuity to develop a more vibrant and sustainable future.
Foundation Mission
We support work that celebrates creativity, builds vibrant communities, and cultivates a thriving and sustainable planet.
