On March 2nd, 2026, the YOUfirst team hosted an event that focused on self-love and self-acceptance. We brought in a frame with the words “I am…” and asked everyone to fill in the blank with something positive about themselves! As people stopped by throughout the day, the frame slowly got filled to the brim with many positive, self-motivating words to describe themselves. After writing their words on the frame, our peers posed while holding the frame up with cool pairs of sunglasses and huge smiles.
Framing Positivity was a gentle reminder for our friends to take a second, breathe, and gather their own thoughts to reflect on themselves in an uplifting, enjoyable way! It showed how self-love and self-care isn’t just something we say; it’s something we do, by acknowledging and accepting the positive parts of everyone, especially on the days when it’s hard to see. By the end of our event, the frame was filled with words like “funny,” “brave,” “blessed,” and many more, each word a representation of unique experiences and memories!
We hope everyone left this event feeling a little lighter and more confident in themselves. By framing our own positivity, we’ve learned that the more we embrace and accept ourselves, the brighter we all shine!
