Clothespin Morning

On March 10th, 2025, the YOUfirst team hosted an event alled Clothespin Morning, a simple but meaningful activity meant to spread positivity through small actions. Our team wrote encouraging and uplifting messages on clothespins, such as "You're LOVED", "OWN today", and "MOVE forward", reinforcing the idea that every single individual is valued and appreciated. As students passed in the hallways, we clipped these messages onto their backpacks and sleeves, bringing a hint of surprise to their typical school day.

Clothespin Morning demonstrated how positivity can be spread in the simplest ways. A small message clipped onto someone's bag became a reminder to reflect and remember that people truly do care. This event helped create an atmosphere of connection and encouragement throughout the school, where kindness was exchanged between students.

We hope that everybody who received a clothespin carried that message with them. Sometimes, a few words of positivity are all it takes for someone to feel seen and supported, which was exactly was Clothespin Morning was all about.
