Mission
Our mission is to cultivate a passion for bioinformatics and research among high school students. We aim to equip our members with essential skills in data analysis, programming, and biological research, while guiding them through the high school process of building a strong academic and extracurricular profile. By helping students understand the research process and develop 21st-century bioinformatics skills, we envision a future where they make meaningful contributions to scientific research and innovation.
Structure
Biocomp consists of two clubs:
Research Club: Focused on foundational research concepts, members learn the basics of scientific inquiry, data collection, and analysis. Members will also learn the process behind building a profile and the MORE IMPORTANT quality of the mindsets to have as a high school student.
Computational Biology Club: These experienced members dive into bioinformatics tools like Python, R, and Matlab, applying their skills to real-world biological data.
GET INVOLVED
"Interested in joining the Biocomp Club? We welcome students of all skill levels!
