*Program Paused for 2026/2027 Residency Year*
Thank you for your interest in the PGY1 pharmacy practice residency program at McLaren Oakland. This program will enhance your clinical knowledge and clinical pharmacy practice skill set through a variety of learning environments, patient populations, disease states, teaching opportunities and projects. Our residency program will boost professional growth and marketability for future employment, providing experience, knowledge and skills that can be applied to the academic or community hospital settings, PGY2 opportunities, or any academic/management endeavor. In addition to daily interaction and teamwork with our dedicated, knowledgeable pharmacy preceptors, our resident will collaborate with medical, critical care, surgical and oncology interdisciplinary teams to apply evidence-based medicine and best practices to patient care. McLaren Oakland will accept one resident annually to start their experience in late June. Completion of this program will develop a well-rounded pharmacist, adept at navigating through the ever-changing landscape of pharmacy and health care practices.
