Year 10 Arts Week 2024!
We closed out our Arts Programme for the year with 84 year 10 boys learning loads of new skills.
Unleashing Creativity: The Year 9 Film Festival
90 students, 3 days, 15 groups, 5 minute stories. 1 winner. A challenge for all and a great way to end the year.
Southern Art House Tour
Our first-ever Southern Arthouse Tour was a resounding success! This event was brought to life through the tireless efforts of our dedicated committee, who have worked together over the past 18 months to plan and perfect every detail. With representatives from both the John McGlashan College Parents and Friends Association and the Columba College Parents’ Association, the 2024 committee joined forces to create an unforgettable day, which we anticipate will become a staple in the Otago art scene for years to come.

Dunedin Fringe Festival performance delights Year 11 drama students
NCEA Level 1 drama students were thrilled to attend the opening night performance of Butterfly Flutters January Burns at the University of Otago's Allen Hall.

A group of Year 11 and 12 drama students are currently preparing to take the stage in a five minute performance of the feast of Crispian, from Shakespeare's Henry V, for the SGCNZ University of Otago Sheilah Winn Shakespeare Festival.
McGlashan's talented current and former performing arts students shine at the Dunedin Fringe Festival! 🌟✨
The Dunedin Fringe Festival is the second largest in Aotearoa and runs from the 14th to the 24th of March. It is an annual 11-day multidisciplinary arts festival which values any form of expression. Dunedin Fringe provides a platform for new, innovative and experimental art that helps nurture communities, and supports the work of emerging artists.
