October 2nd, 2024 - Wednesday - East/West Football Game (6 PM)
Seventh and Eighth-grade band students will perform fun pep tunes in support of our team's efforts against the East Trojans. The East Band will be there as well, making this evening an excellent time for everyone.
October 4th, 2024 - Friday - Middle School Night
Seventh and Eighth-Grade Band students from East and West will participate with the McDowell High School Titan Marching Band at the home football game. This is an opportunity for next year's freshmen to experience the exciting world of High School Marching Band.
November 8th, 2024 (Tentatively) - Friday - Veterans Day Ceremony
Seventh and Eighth-Grade Band students will perform the service branch marches in support of our Veterans Day Ceremony.
December, 2024 - West Holiday Tour
The seventh and eighth-grade bands will tour four elementary schools and share music with their students. This includes Old Fort Elementary, West Marion Elementary, Pleasant Gardens Elementary, and North Cove Elementary. This tour takes place during normal school hours and the date will be announced soon.
December 12th, 2024 - Thursday - West Holiday Concert (7 PM)
Get into the holiday spirit with a holiday-themed concert at the East Middle School Auditorium. This concert includes all band students and is the premier of the sixth-grade band.
March 11th, 2025 - Tuesday - East/West Hootenanny (7 PM)
All band students from the East and West Band programs will come together at the East McDowell Middle School Auditorium to share a musical evening.
April, 2025 - Spartan Blues Jazz Tour
The Spartan Blues Jazz Band will tour four elementary schools and introduce the basics of Band to students. This includes Old Fort Elementary, West Marion Elementary, Pleasant Gardens Elementary, and North Cove Elementary. This tour takes place during normal school hours and the date will be announced soon.
May 20th, 2025 - Tuesday - West Band Spring "Pops" Concert
This end-of-the-year concert is a showcase of the year's efforts. Students will perform popular selections of music.
