Program Vision
The vision of the school counseling program at McDowell Academy for Innovation is that all students graduate prepared for college and careers in today's global economy. All students actively participate in connected, authentic planning and learning opportunities coordinated by the counseling department in collaboration with staff and the community. As empowered, goal oriented learners the students at McDowell Academy for Innovation possess the growth mindset to live productive lives as responsible citizens in a diverse society.
Program Mission
The mission of the school counseling program at McDowell Academy for Innovation is to provide students a comprehensive program focused on helping them succeed in their academic, career, and personal lives. Through preventive and remedial support programs: academic and career planning; partnerships with parents, faculty, and other community members; and effective data analysis; the counseling program at MAI will foster students that are productive citizens and competitive lifelong learners .
