1. JavaScript and IFrame tags are the most common format used by agencies for IAB standard digital ad sizes. Javascript and IFrame tags can be exported from most tag management platforms (see question 2).
2. Any High Impact ad formats need increased functionality built out in McClatchy’s tagging system, so we cannot accept Javascript/IFrame tags for these formats. If you wish to provide 3rd party tracking for these ad formats, please provide any and all creative along with the 1x1 Impression Trackers and Click Tags and we can embed them into our tags.
3. If running a campaign with both Standard IAB sizes and High Impact, please provide both Javascript/IFrame AND 1x1 Impression Trackers and Click Tags if possible.
Yes, as long as the platform can generate tags in the formats described above, we will be able to accept them. However, if you provide tags from a platform our Ad Ops team has never seen before, we will require additional turnaround time to determine how to embed our ad server’s Impression/Click trackers into the code. This is a list of tagging platforms we have worked with in the past: Approved Vendors
No. As long as the final tags are provided in the formats described in question 1, we will be able to use them. The only technical concerns would be how many trackers the tagging platform (in this case Google Campaign Manager) allows you to embed.
Our ad server only allows one (1) Impression Tracker and one (1) Click Tag per Creative.
