What is Active kids & Minds?

▪ We are a before school program that focuses on getting your child moving and ready for a day in the classroom. A typical AKM class is 30 minutes long with a fun warm up game or movement drills, Running activity and strength movements with a cool down. 

When? • Tuesday and Thursday mornings from 7:30 AM to 8:00 AM. drop off starts at 7:20

• 1st Session starts Tuesday, October 10/7/25 it runs for 8 weeks 

How do I sign my child(ren) up? You can sign up with link below or email akm@mccarthypto.org  with your child's Name, Grade and Teacher name. If submitting multiple children please submit individually. We will keep siblings together. Please make sure to sign up by 9/26 space is limited.

Is there a cost to participate? The registration fee for BOKS is $40 per participant (cash/venmo or check to “McCarthy PTO”). If paying the fee is a financial hardship, please contact our AKM head coach Jillian at akm@mccarthypto.org 

Is there transportation for BOKS? Parents are responsible for transporting their children to school, and students will be dismissed from AKM
