Role of the Professional School Counselor
The school counselor supports the campus by: Utilizing guidance curriculum to promote emotional intelligence lessons. Through individual planning, we guide students through course selection & retention. We collaborate with key campus & community partners to ensure campus system support. Finally, through responsive services, we immediately support & guide the student in immediate need.
Leadership & Advocacy
Rowe High School counselors play vital roles as leaders and advocates for students, engaging in daily interactions with students, staff, parents, and the community. They are essential in implementing district-wide initiatives and curricula that prioritize students' mental, social-emotional awareness, and safety.
The counseling department at Rowe meets regularly to ensure the full participation of everyone in upcoming school-wide activities. This commitment ensures that counselors remain consistently involved and are viewed as accessible resources for all students and parents.
These counselors take on leadership and advocacy roles within various platforms, such as the Counselor Advisory Council, Safe and Supportive School Team, High School Strategic Design, and Emotional Intelligence Curriculum.
