Two band students of the month have been selected for September 2014. They are Maggie McCracken and Talia Mazzatesta. Both students are 6th grade trombone players. Maggie recently switched to trombone after playing clarinet for a year, and Talia is in her first year in band. Both girls are doing a great job keeping up with the veteran trombone players.

Maggie is the daughter of Vivian and Casey McCracken. She is 12 years old and in 6th grade. Her favorite subject is English Language Arts. She enjoys reading, hiking, playing soccer, and outdoor games. Her favorite band memories are her first concert and playing music with friends.

Talia is 11 years old and she is also in 6th grade. She is the daughter of Tony and Patti Mazzatesta. Her favorite subject is math. She enjoys basketball, soccer, gymnastics, band, and playing with friends. Her favorite thing about band is that she gets to learn how to read music, play an instrument and make more friends.
