Music in the Parks, Hershey Park
Arrival at school will be as usual. Students should report directly to the band room. Students should wear their MCA Elementary Band shirt and khaki or tan shorts. Sneakers are suggested since we will be walking a lot throughout the day.
7:45 Students and chaperones will report to the band room for a very brief meeting.
8:00-8:15 Students will load instruments, equipment, and all belongings for the day, and depart for Palmyra High School.
9:15 (approx.) Arrival at Palmyra High School. Students will remain on buses while Mrs. Rosko registers. All instruments will be assembled on buses. Cases must remain. If time permits, we will respectfully and quietly watch the other performing groups.
9:40 Move into warm-up room for tuning.
10:05 Adjudicated performance
Buses will be loaded immediately following and we will go to Hershey Park
11:00(approx.) Arrive at Hershey Park
In the Park
Students MUST remain with their assigned chaperone at all times. Students may pack meals and snacks, or purchase in the park. Music in the Parks suggests students bring approx. $25 for meals and souvenirs.
4:00 All students and chaperones will meet outside of Chevrolet Music Box Theatre in Music Box Way to attend the awards ceremony.
After awards we will go back into the park for a few more hours.
7:30 Meet at the carousel in Founder’s Circle to depart for home.
