Winter Concert 2015

ADVANCED BAND MEMBERS ONLY

To the parent/guardian of MCAE band member:

Mark your calendars! The date and time for your child’s winter band concert has been set for Wednesay, December 16^th at 6:30pm. I would like the students to be in the highs school band room at 6:00 pm, no earlier please. The concert will be held in the HIGH SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. Please be advised that the students have worked very hard to make this concert a success and your child’s presence at this event is of the utmost importance. Attendance is mandatory. If a student does not attend the concert, it will result in an unsatisfactory grade.

*Attire for the concert is as follows:*

Wear your “holiday best”. There should not be any writing on the clothing. Boys should wear slacks, nice shoes, and a dress shirt. Girls may wear a dress, pants or a skirt (the skirt must reach their knees when they are sitting), a nice modest top (no strapless or spaghetti straps), and nice shoes. Please do not wear jeans, t-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, or sneakers.

All band students will need their instruments in school for Monday, December 14^th through Wednesday, December 16th. There will be rehearsals throughout the week. Also, some students are lacking home practice time and are quite unprepared for the upcoming concert. Please take the time to ask you child to play their music for you to ensure their preparation. Our time during school is very limited, so home practice is of the utmost importance.
