An inquiry into human wellbeing at the global scale
In semester one, year 10 Students at Macquarie College have been exploring the wellbeing of people both in Australia and around the globe. Students have examined the nature of, and differences in, human wellbeing and development that exist within and between countries. They have described ways of measuring human wellbeing and development to reveal spatial variations and have developed explanations for these differences. Students have been investigating examples of issues affecting development, the impact on wellbeing and the consequences of spatial variations across the globe. Additionally, students have investigated and examined local, national and global initiatives to improve human wellbeing.
Students have been tasked to conduct a geographical inquiry into the wellbeing of people right across the globe with a focus on improving human wellbeing and are to communicate their findings in the form of a blog post. Additionally, students are to critically reflect on the work of others by providing constructive peer comments.
To view our blogs, please click on the countries in the menu bar where you will then be able to view all of the individual blogs written about the wellbeing in that country.
This project has been led by our year 10 Geography teachers.
