Lauren Galbraith joined the MBMS team in 2013 as a counselor and the 504 Coordinator and At Risk Counselor. She holds a Bachelors Degree in Communications from UC Davis and a Masters Degree in Counseling from Cal State Dominguez Hills and a Pupil Personnel Service Credential. She began her career in education as a College, Career and Guidance Counselor at New Millennium Secondary charter high school in 2010. Before that she was working in marketing and sales in New York City, enjoying the hustle and bustle of city life. Having grown up in Manhattan Beach, she enjoys giving back to the community and helping its students. Her philosophy is to listen to each student carefully and provide them with the tools they need in order to successfully navigate middle school. She enjoys spending time with her twin daughters Brooke and Zoe, her husband Andy (a computer science teacher at Da Vinci High School), her 110-lb African Tortoise, taking road trips and family biking outings to the beach.
