Harrison Streets for All
Harrison Streets for All
Harrison is working to re-imagine their streets to better accommodate residents and visitors of all ages and abilities and enhance the Town’s position as a vibrant, transit-oriented, walkable community. Harrison Streets for All will create a Complete Streets policy that sets goals and expectations for the planning, design, and implementation of future street projects. A graphical street design guide will also be produced containing specific recommendations and implementation steps. MORE>
Complete Streets are multifunctional streets that serve multiple purposes:
Traveling by car, walking, biking, or taking transit
Gathering, socializing, or attending community events
Managing stormwater
Complete Streets are meant for the safe and adequate accommodation of all users including pedestrians, bicyclists, public transportation users, children, older individuals, individuals with disabilities, motorists, and freight vehicles
Complete Streets are contextual – one size doesn’t fit all.
