Future Ready Librarians: Builds Instructional Partnerships
GOAL
In order to support and improve the literacy skills of MSD students and ensure that CSF is being effectively spent, the library program will create and maintain a collection of materials (Curate:Grow: School Library Alignments.2) that is current, relevant, accurate, and meets the needs of staff and students by revising and implementing collection development procedures, collaborating with staff, and increasing circulation by 25% by the end of the 2025-26 school year.
ACTIVITIES
By the end of the 2023-24 school year, the librarian will attend at least one meeting of every instructional department and grade level to determine where and how the library can purchase, utilize, and mobilize resources to support staff and their curriculum.
The MES and MJSHS collections will undergo weeding of old and irrelevant titles based on collection development procedures. By the end of the 2025-26 school year, the majority of our school library collection items will be 2010 or younger using the Follett Titlewave tool, TitleWise.
