Your school counselor is your connection to the community. If you or someone you know is in need, please contact any of the school counselors at WHS. The school counselors will connect students and their families with the resources they may need. All referrals, assistance, information, etc. is confidential. Below are resources offered within our district for families to reach out directly.

True Self-Worth and Guidance
True SWAG is small group mentoring brought in by The Legacy Project of Stark. Groups consist of 2 adult mentors and up to 6 students who meet once a week during the school day, where mentors strive to provide students with a fun, casual environment that promotes a lot of thinking, talking, laughing, and learning. The groups give students the opportunity to form positive, developmental relationships with adults from their community and their peers. Our mentors follow a guidebook that is based on the Ohio Department of Education’s Social and Emotional Learning standards and is delivered using the framework of the 40 Developmental Assets®, which are researched-based social and emotional learning skills that students need to thrive.
The Salvation Army provides emergency assistance, food pantry, social groups, religious services, etc.
