The Boston Charter Public School Application, launched in the fall of 2016 by the Boston Charter Alliance, allows families to submit applications for multiple students to several Commonwealth charter public schools at once using either a mobile phone, iPad or tablet, or computer. The online application was created to ease the process for families to apply to one (or many) charter public schools located in and near Boston.
The general deadline to submit an application for September 2025 enrollment was February 28, 2025 at 11:59pm.
A limited number of schools will continue to accept applications for September 2025 entry. Contact schools directly for application deadlines, lottery dates, and waitlist information. Please click here to see the list of schools currently accepting applications for the 2025-2026 school year.
At the entry point of the Boston Charter Public School Application, parents or guardians will be asked to create a family account in the SchoolMint online application system by entering their name and either an email or a mobile phone number. Creating a family account provides the convenience for parents and guardians to complete an application for multiple children to multiple schools at once, if they choose to do so.
If you previously applied to a Massachusetts charter public school using SchoolMint’s online application system, you will not need to create a new account and can sign in to your existing account by entering your name and either your email or mobile phone number.
Although the general deadline to submit an application for the 2025-2026 school year was February 28, 2025, a limited number of schools will continue to accept applications. Contact schools directly for application deadlines, lottery dates, and waitlist information.
