Because there are many variables to producing good vinyl and laser cut objects, we ask that you schedule a consultation with one of our student interns. They will help make sure you have the correct material and file types before we begin cutting. Unlike the 3D and poster printers, we do not supply materials for these machines. We can help you identify appropriate materials when you visit the Dream Center.
Vinyl cutters and laser cutters are both ways to cut materials into custom shapes. This open up endless creative possibilities for students looking to customize projects, create functional designs, or experiment with new materials.
A vinyl cutter is perfect for making custom stickers, decals for water bottles or laptops, heat transfers for T-shirts, and stencils for painting projects.
The precision of a laser cutter allows students to engrave personalized designs on wood or acrylic, cut out intricate patterns for jewelry or ornaments, and even build detailed models or prototypes.
