We were approached by another high school to offer a program that would allow upcoming juniors the opportunity to obtain their two-year associate degree through dual credit. We are excited to say we will be starting the Young Scholars Program in the fall on our Maysville Campus. I wanted to share this with each of you in case you might have students interested in the program. I am also happy to discuss this with your upcoming juniors when I visit.

Here is how it will work. Students would attend courses on campus between 8/8:30 until 2:00 Monday through Thursday. The courses would be a mix of in-person, hybrid, and possibly online depending on their class need. They will have a break for lunch. The other school is providing lunch for their students, but students also have an option to bring their own or purchase from the college Café, if the school can not provide lunch. Students will also have access to success coaches, and tutoring and I will be there to check in on them and be available if they need me.
