What is Acrylic Paint?
Acrylic paint is a fast-drying paint made of pigment suspended in acrylic polymer emulsion and plasticizers. Acrylic paints are water-soluble, but become water-resistant when dry.
Wear a smock, they will stain your clothes!
Take care of those paintbrushes!
Be sure to clean them after your are done working so that the acrylic paint doesn't dry in the bristles and ruin the brush. It's not enough to just hold them under running water, scrub a dub dub!
Sgraffito
Choose any color, paint a rectangular shape, and let it dry.
When it is COMPLETELY DRY, paint another layer of paint over top of the original color. Be sure to use a different color for your 2nd layer. Use the handle of your paintbrush to scratch line designs into the surface.

Use a clean, dry paper towel to apply paint in a textured way to your project.
The most important step is to blot the paper towel on your palette paper first to distribute the paint evenly and then apply it to your paper.
