Become a Peer Tutor - Applications Are Now Open for the 2024-2025 School Year!
The Masconomet Peer Tutoring Program is an opportunity for students to create connections with their peers of different grade levels, and to receive individualized peer tutoring in any subject.
Matched Peer Tutors have experienced the same course as their tutee, and have received a tutor verification signature from their teacher to be eligible for the position. However, Peer Tutors are not your teachers, and peer tutoring sessions will be most productive if the student prepares questions and practice questions in advance. Through active participation and communication, peer tutoring sessions can be tailored towards individual concerns regarding concepts or specific questions students may have towards a course. Additionally, Peer Tutors can guide students through specific study methods and thought processes that benefited them when taking the course to ensure students learn valuable skills that can be applied both to the course, and in future courses.
A Note About Academic Honesty: Peer Tutors are unable to directly complete students homework or an assignment that has not yet been graded.
