Founded in 1999, the G20 aims to discuss policy issues pertaining to the promotion of international financial stability. It seeks to address issues that go beyond the responsibilities of any one organization

Greetings delegates,
It is with great pleasure that I would like to extend to you a warm welcome to the seventeenth edition of the Barranquilla Model United Nations. I am Alejandro Marin, and I will be presiding over the Joint Crisis: G-20 Committee alongside my Co-President Juliana Del Toro.
In this committee, it’s our duty and responsibility to solve conflicts that are constantly growing, so we expect no less than your full commitment and utmost dedication to the debate and the matters discussed in it. This committee will be of fast development, so be prepared to accurately represent your country in the topics managed throughout the sessions.

I would like to extend a warm welcome to BAMUN XVII! My name is Juliana Del Toro and it is with great excitement that I will be presiding over the Joint Crisis: G-20 Committee this year along with my Co-President Alejandro Marin.
It will be an exciting experience watching you all positively develop throughout the model as we discuss the chosen topics. Do not forget to come as prepared as you can, as that is the main strategy for the committee to prosper the way we are expecting it to. I hope that not only this committee, but the model as a whole, ignites in you the sparks of hope needed to achieve global peace and prosperity.
