The Union flag was used during the time of the union, when a large number of Norweigans studied at Chalmers Technical learning Institute, which the school was called at that time. When the union was disbanded in 1905 the share of Norweigan students was 40%. The union's disbandment did not only affect the relationship between Swedes and Norweigans, it was also a large hindrance for Norweigans who wanted to study at Chalmers, since they previously had been able to study at Chalmers as if it was a Norweigan Institute. Out of solidarity the Student Union, which had only existed for a year, decided to not acknowledge the disbandment of the union and has since then continued using the Union flag instead of the Swedish.

1908
The Student Union decided to, with the purpose of acquiring professors for the higher division, to apply to the board of the Institute to consider the possibility of changing the Institutes name so that the higher division would hereby be called Chalmers University of Technology. The Student Union was already influential back then.
1911
A motion to arrange cortège is unanimously approved.
1914
A motion about obligatory membership in the student union is proposed.
1915
Bylaws for a merger of the student body and C.S. admits.
1916
The societies separate again, after an insight about the faults in the Merger.
1917
The student body resumes the work in the same manner as before the Merger. At the first meeting the trustees were tasked with obtaining “The engineering title’s interdigitation of the final grade”.
1920
The student body decides that all given examples of exams during the Academic year shall be collected and given out in the form of Hectographed collections every Autumn. A schapipograph was purchased for the hectography.
1926
Another set of bylaws for a merger of the student body and C.S. is admitted.
The union board decides that a brochure is to be printed to stimulate the interest in the unions work.
1927
The bylaws for the merger change.
115 SEK is placed in a fund for building the Student Union building.
1929
The merger is put down. Origia, the facility of the students at Old Chalmers is inaugurated.
1937
Chalmers technical institute becomes Chalmers university of Technology and is put on equal grounds as KTH.
The sports cabin in Härryda is inaugurated.
1944
The student union starts the union paper “Toffsen”. The union gets its first union building, “Lopphuset”. Suggestion for new union building is drawn.
1948
The first spex “Bojan” is premiered. “Lopphuset” is restored.
1952
The new Student Union building is inaugurated. The food is cooked in Lopphuset and is transported to the union buildings dining hall with a buss called “Tuggbussen”.
1957
The new dining hall of the Student Union, Nyfiket, is inaugurated.
1958
The Chalmers spex donated 64 öre to the state in order to even out the country debt to an even number of kroner.
1963
“Chalmers studenthem” is inaugurated.
1964
The sauna in Härryda is build by C.S. and is then donated to the student union.
1968
Pripps is occupied.
The board of Chalmers decides that two students are to be in the board.
1970
The first official election for union council is held.
1975
The first CHARM (Chalmers Student Union’s career fair) is arranged.
1976
The new dining hall of the restaurant is inaugurated.
1978
The union registers their symbol “Avancez” as a trademark.
1979
The union celebrates 75-year anniversary and his royal highness visits.
1988
The bookstore Cremona becomes a limited liability company.
“Sommarklubben” becomes a limited liability company.
1996
Cremona is divided into two companies, a bookstore and a computer company.
1997
The student union request from the british prime minister to rent Hong Kong during a couple of minutes before returning it to China.
The student union arranges CHARM, Europe's largest careers fair arranged by academia.
1998
The student union reports the TV-show “Propaganda” for lack of Balance and objectivity in a segment about the student union. The show fell in “Granskningsnnämnden”.
1999
The union building is demolished and the union is temporarily moved to “Skeppshuset”
2001
The debate about whether C.S. should be in the union building is heating up.
The union moves in and inaugurates its new union building.
New webpage is presented.
At the council meeting 14/3 it was decided that Marskalksämbetet was to become a union committee tasked with forming the Student Union's “Fanborg” at ceremonial events and to maintain the good traditions of the student union.
2003
The disco ball is put up as a gift from FestU, LoB and Svea. The union pays for inspection and installation. The disco ball is 120 cm in diameter.
The small sauna in Härryda caught fire due to a gift from Finland in the form of a wood-fired sauna heater. It is secretly installed by our Finnish friends. This turns out to be fatal and the result of a dismissive rebuilding of the small sauna.
2004
The train cart is gifte to Chalmers. It was well received by Marskalksämbetet in addition to a large amount of students. The Cart was delivered to the sound of chalmers cheers and champagne Glasses. The creator of the project, Niklas Andersson, happily received the 42 tonne heavy AB3.
The student union celebrated 100 years and the university celebrated 175 years.
2007
The union building at Lindholmen is inaugurated.
2009
The Cortége celebrates its 100 year anniversary.
The obligatory membership for student unions is abolished. The board of chalmers decides to keep it at Chalmers.
2012
New graphical profile is launched.
2013
Visions about a union building on the countryside is accepted and a renovation and building project in Härryda is initiated.
