Greetings scholars! 

 Welcome to my classroom.  I am so excited to work with you all this year. Right off the bat, I want to let you guys know where I stand in my teaching philosophy.  I think I owe it to you to tell you the ways in which I plan to provide you with the best and most interesting learning opportunities that I can:

Course Objectives:

The focus of these courses is to build upon skills that you began to acquire during your previous year's experience and help you be prepared to take on the rest of high school with confidence.  We will read fiction, non-fiction, poetry, and watch movies as they apply to the curriculum.  We will write creatively, argumentatively, and persuasively. We will take the time necessary to focus on real world issues that are happening and affecting you now.  This syllabus outlines expectations for you as students, including classroom conduct and behavior, preparedness, assignments, and many other class related issues.
