What is Library Club?
The BES Library Club is essential to the day to day operation of the library! It's a job, but it can be a fun job! (And occasionally, you might get special perks, like donuts!) In order to be a member, you must apply just like people do when trying to get a job. 5th grade students who are in Library Club are given a schedule when they are hired. They are responsible for coming to the library on scheduled days early enough to help shelve books. It's extremely important for Library Clubbers to be there on their scheduled day. When LC students aren't able to be there, it's very hard to get all of the books that are checked in daily back onto the shelf. On an average library day, if every student returns just one book, there will be 100 books to reshelve! As you probably know, most students return more than one! It can take forever for one person (Ms. Crystal) to get all of the books shelved! That's why LC members are such a HUGE deal!
In order to be a part of the Library Club, you have to get to school early enough to start, since we do it before school. We start anytime between 7:30 and 7:45.
